Supporting veterans through nature and community connection

Healing Through Nature

At Harborsite Outdoor Therapy Group, we support veterans on their journey to wellness using the calming power of the outdoors.

Our Mission

Harbor Site Outdoor Therapy Group (HSOTG) was created to provide Veterans outdoor activity opportunities in a natural environment. HSOTG is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization with the stated mission of informing and educating Veteran guests of the Outdoor Therapy concept, various types of outdoor therapy methodologies, and the potential benefits of respective programs. At its core HSOTG is a peer-to-peer support organization. HSOTG Volunteers serve as facilitators for participants seeking information regarding Outdoor Therapy, Wilderness Therapy, and Adventure Programs. HSOTG does NOT provide counseling, therapy, or other professional mental health services. HSOTG is committed to providing Veterans with a friendly environment, quiet and relaxing surroundings, and supportive fellow Veteran volunteers. HSOTG will support Veteran groups and organizations, as well as individual Veterans and their health care providers to coordinate appropriate outdoor activities and positive productive experiences.
